Penmanship
Grade 1: Without using the pupil book models, we worked on identifying all the letters in the alphabet (upper and lowercase) which begin with the tall stick downstroke, and then the left-curve round top basic stroke. Completed Unit Four Model Test in the classroom. Please encourage your child to finish their original sentences on the reverse side. If they are so inclined, they might like to fill the whole page. 🙂 Ensure the worksheets are brought back on Friday. Parents, please initial.
Grade 2: Reviewed and practiced on chalkboard p. 29 in pupils’ penmanship booklet (w, b, v, o). For homework, please finish the two worksheets sent home and bring back on Friday.
Science
Grade 1: Ocean Migration: Please finish colouring the picture and writing the following sentences (p. 32 in L&P): Whales live all over the world. In summer, something happens. Whales swim toward the poles. We call it migration.
Grade 2: Dry Lands: Please finish colouring picture and writing the following sentences (p. 32 in L&P): Some places are very dry. Dry land plants need little water. Lizards warm up in the sunshine. They cool off in the shade.
